Clarity ("the App") is a behavioral pattern analysis tool that processes text message exports. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Authentication: The App uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. We generate a random user ID — no email, name, or personal info is collected during sign-in.
Message Data: When you import a conversation file, the raw messages are stored in your private Firebase Firestore collection. This data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) by Google Cloud infrastructure. Only your authenticated session can access your data.
AI Analysis: When you request AI analysis, a condensed summary (pattern statistics and short excerpts — never full message text) is sent to Google's Gemini API. Google's AI data retention policies govern this data. We do not store AI request/response logs.
Semantic Search & Embeddings (Optional Feature): If you use the semantic search feature, individual message texts are converted into numerical vector representations ("embeddings") using an AI embedding model (Google Gemini or OpenAI). These embeddings — along with the original message text — are stored in Supabase, a third-party database service, under your anonymous user ID. Embeddings are used solely to power search within your own cases. You can delete all embedding data at any time using the Delete All My Data function in Settings. If you do not use semantic search, no data is sent to Supabase.
Purchase Data: Subscription status is managed through Google Play Billing and/or RevenueCat. We receive subscription status notifications but do not see payment details (credit card numbers, billing addresses).
We do not collect: email addresses, real names, phone numbers, location data, device identifiers for advertising, contact lists, or browsing history.
Your message data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore under your anonymous user ID. Data is stored in US data centers with SOC 2, ISO 27001 certification.
You can delete individual cases from within the App at any time. Deleting a case permanently removes all associated messages and analysis from our servers. Deleting the app or signing out does not automatically delete your data — use the in-app delete function first.
To delete your data, go to Settings inside the app and tap Delete All My Data. For full account deletion or further assistance, contact: privacy@clarityforensics.app
The App uses these third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
